Graduation brings new hopes and challenges for an aspiring news reporter

Since high school, Ashley has wanted to be a reporter on the news.  Today, Ashley is an adult and graduation is quickly approaching for her. A paradox she seems to be, Ashley enjoys schedules and routine; however, she also enjoys spontaneous trips. Ashley enjoys talking to people and is excited to one- make money and two, have an actual routine upon graduation.

Through experience, Ashley was given an internship at News 4 San Antonio, which is the Fox affiliate. Ashley has been interning there for two weeks and she gets an adrenaline rush every time she enters the news field. 

Air quality and fossil fuels are harming tourists and the environment according to Ashley, she is interested in doing an article on this topic. As an environmentalist, she enjoys learning about how parks stay clean. Yosemite is no stranger to Ashley, ever since she was a child she wanted to visit this beautiful park. According to Ashley’s interview as a child, her grandmother was going to drive her to Yosemite; however halfwayto the park, her grandmother decided not to want to go anymore. 

Ashley feels blessed to be given this opportunity and she feels so excited to meet everyone on the trip. Moreover, she believes this trip will be something she will never forget.  Environmentalist, writer, and passionate worker- Ashley is a triple threat who is ready forwhatever life throws at her.
